The tension between the SC Serpente and the SC Pamarao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Rebocho kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Serpente's zone, Jorge Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinho Amaro came out of the goal and Jorge Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Mota in the 31st minute of play forced SC Serpente's goalkeeper Martinho Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martinho Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Marques in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Jorge Marques made a precise shot to the right of Martinho Amaro. SC Serpente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, SC Serpente's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Marques came free, but Martinho Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, SC Pamarao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Machado to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinho Amaro having to interfere. Jorge Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Cesário in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, SC Pamarao's goalkeeper Jorge Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Rebocho.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Olívio Vigário was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Serpente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pamarao the free kick. SC Serpente's Martinho Amaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Serpente from getting a goal against them. Martinho Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Marques in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of SC Pamarao booed when SC Serpente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermano Palhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Melo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Martinho Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pamarao. Catarino Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinho Amaro having to interfere. SC Pamarao's Jorge Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Cesário in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jorge Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martinho Amaro was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Catarino Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Martinho Amaro made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Mota got free with Martinho Amaro in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martinho Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Carlos Bessa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martinho Amaro. SC Serpente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute, SC Pamarao's Bruno Machado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Martinho Amaro. Martinho Amaro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Jorge Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Jorge Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Martinho Amaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The SC Pamarao supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Pamarao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
