Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tobias Garcez kicked off to start the match. Emílio Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Joel Jesus made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Giz FC's zone, Altino Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Jesus came out of the goal and Altino Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Altino Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Ruas in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Jarbas Lemos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mosqueiro the free kick. After 18 played minutes Giz FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Lemos. Emílio Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altino Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altino Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes SC Mosqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Altino Braga. In the 26th minute Torcato Mourão suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Garcez during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Giz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Garcez to maneuver through the defense. SC Mosqueiro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zarco Azevedo in the 31st minute. The corner led SC Mosqueiro's Zarco Azevedo to fire away a dangerous shot which Joel Jesus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Emílio Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Joel Jesus made a huge save. Emílio Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Joel Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Jesus having to interfere. Emílio Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Giz FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Egídio Zarco hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute Emílio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emílio Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Altino Braga came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the SC Mosqueiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Altino Braga couldn't finish the play. Altino Braga hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Emílio Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Joel Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Emílio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Emílio Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mosqueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Carvalho in the 78th minute of play. Joel Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altino Braga struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Joel Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mosqueiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Carvalho in the 93rd minute of play forced Giz FC's goalkeeper Joel Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Jesus having to interfere. In the 96th minute Emílio Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Mosqueiro players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
