The supporters of SC Marmeleira booed when Furiosos Atlético Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Horta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Coutinho in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Furiosos Atlético Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Madeira came free, but Fernando Camacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Marmeleira's zone, Angelo Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Horta came out of the goal and Angelo Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Furiosos Atlético Clube's Luís Coutinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Horta. Angelo Horta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Diego Madeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fernando Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Furiosos Atlético Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Barros to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Camacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Madeira in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Mourão was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Furiosos Atlético Clube's zone, Diego Madeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Camacho came out of the goal and Diego Madeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Fernando Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego Madeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Marmeleira's Angelo Horta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Coutinho in the 65th minute of play. Claudemiro Mourato kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Lage in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Horta saved SC Marmeleira from getting behind. Manuel Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fernando Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego Madeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, SC Marmeleira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Corte-Real to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Luís Coutinho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Marmeleira's Angelo Horta. Angelo Horta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diego Madeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Camacho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Madeira ran back to his position shaking his head. Manuel Mourão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Camacho having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Marmeleira players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Furiosos Atlético Clube.
