Isidro Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Horta having to interfere. If Diego Madeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Pessoal da Vila SC got a freekick which was hit by Januário Bragança. After having played for 38 minutes, Isidro Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pessoal da Vila SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Leiria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Miguéis in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Horta saved SC Marmeleira from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Leiria in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Horta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucílio Valério's late challenge caught a SC Marmeleira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
