Severino Vasques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Carvalho in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Cristiano Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Vasques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Inácio Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cândido Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quintino Águas was the one to do the kick off. Quintino Águas took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Barbosa. After having played for 61 minutes, Inácio Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Cornos Mansos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Águas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Os Cornos Mansos were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
