Giestosa FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Honorato Vidal scored to the left of an out of position Severino Vasques, making the score, 1-0. Giestosa FC's Quintino Águas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fontinha FC's Henrique Aveiro got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heitor Henriques's late challenge caught a Giestosa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heitor Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. When Donato Viveiros came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Giestosa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Viveiros couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Giestosa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabiano Carvalhal was slow to take the kick. During this time Fontinha FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alberto Leite almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Giestosa FC's Severino Vasques did a great save. If Henrique Aveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Giestosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Vidal came free, but Severino Vasques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Aveiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino Vasques having to make a save. If Henrique Aveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Pinho tried in the 37th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Severino Vasques a with quite unnecessary self made goal. In the 80th minute Honorato Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Vasques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Vasques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Aveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Henrique Aveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Severino Vasques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Donato Viveiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Pestana kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Honorato Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fontinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henrique Aveiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Vasques having to interfere. Fontinha FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
