The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Cestaco FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Diego Infante hit a great ball. In the 5th minute of the match Eduardo Setúbal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xavier Tinoco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Angelo Brandão kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 9th minute, when Andorinha FC's Eduardo Setúbal after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Xavier Tinoco in Cestaco FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Amadeu Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andorinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Xavier Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Lima during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. David Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Brites notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Andorinha FC's Nuno Nascimento. Nuno Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emílio Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Cestaco FC's goalkeeper Xavier Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Bessa. Xavier Tinoco was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Lucas Bessa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucas Bessa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Lucas Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Monteiro in the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cestaco FC's zone, Lucas Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Tinoco came out of the goal and Lucas Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeu Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Andorinha FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Lucas Bessa hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Andorinha FC's goalkeeper Nuno Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Palhares. 57 minutes into the match, Andorinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Brites came free, but Nuno Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Amadeu Monteiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavier Tinoco was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Xavier Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Monteiro in the 67th minute of the match. If Lucas Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cestaco FC's Jairo Santos got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Cestaco FC defense, Amadeu Monteiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xavier Tinoco. The Cestaco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xavier Tinoco should have stopped the shot. Emílio Neto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Brites received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nuno Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Andorinha FC's Amadeu Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xavier Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Lucas Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Xavier Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Andorinha FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cestaco FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
