Cândido Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Galvão in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Moreira in the 28th minute of play forced Picamiolos's goalkeeper Alberto Baião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Jesualdo Rijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sérgio Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. SC Palao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picamiolos the free kick. Cristóvão Gaspar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Júdice could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Cândido Fonseca made a huge save. When Picamiolos's Sérgio Galvão in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sérgio Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cândido Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, SC Palao's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Galvão came free, but Cândido Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes SC Palao got a freekick which was hit by Raul Moreira. Osvaldo Júdice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Fonseca having to interfere. Picamiolos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
