After a defensive mix-up in SC Porfia's zone, Pedro Guarda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Carvalho came out of the goal and Pedro Guarda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Ferro having to interfere. Inácio Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, André Viegas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Porfia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The wind increased when Inácio Antunes made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Guarda in the 53rd minute of play forced SC Porfia's goalkeeper Eusébio Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Pedro Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored SC Porfia's protests and gave Sebastião Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Porfia's Marco Marques got a free kick in the 85th minute. It was beautiful to see Cuxerre's Delfim Moreira in action when he in the 87th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After having played for 90 minutes, Inácio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Porfia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Cuxerre's Viriato Ferro got control of the ball when André Viegas tried to sneak it across the goal line.
