Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SC Vairao's Janko Timotijević started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xavier Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Andrade in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, SC Vairao's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Moreira came free, but Xavier Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Gabriel Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Xavier Trindade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of SC Vairao booed when SC Cabreiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes SC Cabreiro got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Tavares. In the 16th minute of the match Manuel Carvalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fábio Esteves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, SC Vairao's goal looked a bit too open when António Faria came free, but Xavier Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Vairao's Xavier Trindade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Vairao from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, SC Cabreiro's Jorge Tavares got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, SC Cabreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Janko Timotijević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xavier Trindade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Lisboa in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Fernando Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janko Timotijević, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Gabriel Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavier Trindade. Gabriel Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 39 minutes into the match, SC Vairao's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Andrade came free, but Xavier Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Janko Timotijević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Andrade was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes SC Cabreiro got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Tavares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Janko Timotijević got free with Fábio Esteves in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, António Faria notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of SC Vairao's Xavier Trindade. Xavier Trindade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fábio Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Carvalho went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Fábio Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron Pepe in the 80th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, SC Cabreiro's António Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xavier Trindade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. In the 94th match minute, SC Vairao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Cabreiro fully deserved thier win.
