The Amareleja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viriato Santos should have stopped the shot. Viriato Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Teixeira in the 13th minute of the match. With his leg Viriato Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when SC Passarela's Joel Porto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bento Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Viriato Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rodrigo Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SC Passarela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Oliveira couldn't finish the play. If Bento Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Coimbra having to interfere. SC Passarela's Alfredo Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Teixeira in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bento Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Joel Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Amareleja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Leão to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes, SC Passarela's Miguel Machado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viriato Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Passarela reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Porto in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viriato Santos saved Amareleja FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Melo got free with Alfredo Coimbra in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amareleja FC's Bento Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, SC Passarela's Alfredo Coimbra got control of the ball when Hugo Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amareleja FC's Viriato Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Porto in the 74th minute of play. Hugo Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Coimbra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Rodrigo Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SC Passarela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Oliveira couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Joel Porto had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Leal during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Passarela booed when Amareleja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. SC Passarela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Amareleja FC for a fine match.
