S.C. Cruzadas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when José Alves made the kick off in the second half. José Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Diogo Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Pinheiro. Marmoiral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cruzadas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Diogo Rocha made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Marmoiral's Humberto Pinheiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. José Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Humberto Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. S.C. Cruzadas's José Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diogo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, S.C. Cruzadas's José Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.C. Cruzadas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
