The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cruzadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Borges couldn't finish the play. José Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Pais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Celso Manso hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Diogo Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Cruzadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Pais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, FC Broega's goal looked a bit too open when José Borges came free, but Egídio Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when José Borges made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as José Borges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egídio Pais. That made the score 0-6 in the 87 minute of play. Diogo Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. S.C. Cruzadas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
