Semitela's Pedro Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niall Legzdins in the 5th minute of play. António Queiroga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Semitela's goalkeeper Pedro Pacheco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 14 minutes, Diogo Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Semitela and the GDPortel players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Semitela's Diogo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 14th minute. When André Maia fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semitela's protests and gave André Maia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Semitela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Niall Legzdins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Semitela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Brás to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Niall Legzdins put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Pacheco. Eduardo Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to GDPortel getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dario Pinto hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in GDPortel's zone, Vítor Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Queiroga came out of the goal and Vítor Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Pacheco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niall Legzdins went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Niall Legzdins managed to get in a good position for a shot. GDPortel's supporters rose to their feet, but Niall Legzdins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Pacheco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niall Legzdins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Pedro Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niall Legzdins made a kick off. Niall Legzdins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Pacheco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Niall Legzdins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Pacheco. The goal made the score 0-5. 60 minutes into the match, Semitela's goal looked a bit too open when Niall Legzdins came free, but Pedro Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Semitela getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Delfim Machado hit a great ball. The GDPortel fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when GDPortel's Niall Legzdins looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. António Queiroga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Aguiar in the 69th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes GDPortel got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Portugal. 72 minutes into the match, GDPortel's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Gonçalves came free, but António Queiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Queiroga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Aguiar in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute João Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Queiroga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Delfim Machado fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semitela's protests and gave Delfim Machado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of GDPortel booed when Semitela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niall Legzdins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GDPortel's Anselmo Portugal got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Sander Halliste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GDPortel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Semitela the free kick. In the 90th minute, Sander Halliste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anselmo Portugal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GDPortel's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
