The supporters of Ervidel FC booed when Courel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alcino Brites's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pete Moorby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ervidel FC's Lucas Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Erramun during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Cirilo Erramun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ervidel FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alcino Brites stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Courel FC's Pete Moorby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Courel FC from getting a goal against them. Ervidel FC's Lucas Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ervidel FC defense, Joaquim Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipólito Vides. The Ervidel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipólito Vides should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the game, Lucas Borba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Pete Moorby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Joaquim Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipólito Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 81st minute of the match Cirilo Erramun completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cirilo Erramun a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lucas Borba might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pete Moorby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 89 played minutes Courel FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Nascimento. Lucas Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Brites in the 96th minute of play forced Courel FC's goalkeeper Pete Moorby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ervidel FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
