Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogério Soeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Rogério Soeiro, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fernando Cunha was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 6 minutes, Jorge Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Safara and the Vitória FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes SC Safara got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Fonseca. In the 7th minute Óscar Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Sandro Freitas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Torcato Modesto, passed just outside the right post. After recieving a nice pass, Vitória FC's Aprígio Regueira tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Nuno Campos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Torcato Modesto. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Campos to strike the kick off in the second half.
