After a rather tough play, SC Palhal's Diogo Fagundes got a free kick in the 6th minute. A hard shot 8 in the game by Herbert Balonek from a close distance when the talented Teófilo Lisboa managed to make a qualified save. SC Palhal's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Mouguelas's Diogo Paiva got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of SC Palhal booed when Mouguelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Bazkoare didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Fagundes kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Herbert Balonek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teófilo Lisboa. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Herbert Balonek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Teófilo Lisboa made a huge save. If Jaime Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Balonek had several of the SC Palhal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Teófilo Lisboa as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 36th minute, one of SC Palhal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Palhal. Teófilo Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Jaime Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teófilo Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Matos in the 45th minute of the match. SC Palhal's Diogo Fagundes got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Matos made a kick off. Teófilo Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Balonek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Matos in the 57th minute of play forced SC Palhal's goalkeeper Teófilo Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Mouguelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Balonek to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jaime Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mouguelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teófilo Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diogo Fagundes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Herbert Balonek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teófilo Lisboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Matos in the 77th minute of play forced SC Palhal's goalkeeper Teófilo Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Jaime Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teófilo Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mouguelas's zone, Cláudio Esparteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Ferro came out of the goal and Cláudio Esparteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, SC Palhal's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Balonek came free, but Teófilo Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Esparteiro fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 91st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Matos in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teófilo Lisboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mouguelas fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Palhal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
