Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Vasco Gonçalves made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 8th minute Cássio Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Cássio Meira lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rui Teixeira. Rui Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Meira in the 19th minute of play. EZLN's Rui Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save EZLN from getting a goal against them. Benedito Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes EZLN got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Castro. Vasco Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Benedito Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amadeu Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. During the 39th minute of the match Nuno Castro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nuno Castro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, EZLN's Nuno Castro got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Cássio Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vasco Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EZLN's protests and gave Vasco Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Vasco Gonçalves hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Rui Teixeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Miranda in the 45th minute. Rui Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Meira in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Cássio Meira made the kick off in the second half. Cássio Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Benafim FC booed when EZLN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benafim FC's attack was well implemented in the 59th minute, but when Cássio Meira was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Miranda in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Miranda in the 67th minute of play. EZLN's Rui Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Meira in the 73rd minute of play. Rui Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Santiago Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benafim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, EZLN's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Miranda came free, but Rui Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Gonçalves in the 95th minute of play forced Benafim FC's goalkeeper Benedito Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Benafim FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while EZLN had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
