Rúben Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Borda FC's zone, Carlos Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Esteves came out of the goal and Carlos Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Carlos Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mariano Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 15 minutes, Manuel Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SCB DESDE 1921 and the Borda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manuel Azevedo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Manuel Calheiros kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Carlos Araújo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mariano Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCB DESDE 1921. Carlos Araújos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Mariano Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. SCB DESDE 1921's Carlos Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Pedro Brito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Borda FC were furious when Miguel Nascimento was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for SCB DESDE 1921. Pedro Brito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mariano Esteves. 3-0. In the 38th minute, Carlos Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Borda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Brito came free, but Mariano Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mariano Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Hélio Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SCB DESDE 1921 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Borda FC's Hélio Garcia got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Pedro Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SCB DESDE 1921's Carlos Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Araújo in the 53rd minute of play forced Borda FC's goalkeeper Mariano Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Araújo in the 54th minute of play. Carlos Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Borda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Araújo came free, but Mariano Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aprígio Ramos hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Mariano Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Brito in the 68th minute of the match. Pedro Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Borda FC defense, Carlos Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Esteves. The Borda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Esteves should have stopped the shot. Carlos Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Pedro Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SCB DESDE 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mariano Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borda FC's Mariano Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Brito in the 90th minute of play. Mariano Esteves came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by SCB DESDE 1921's Carlos Araújo. But to his dismay, Carlos Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. SCB DESDE 1921's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
