Paulo Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Joaquim Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alexandre Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Reis in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Lúcio Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Zorro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CDA Burgães the free kick. In the 16th match minute, SC Zorro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Macedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, Jorge Moura reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquim Dias. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Rafael Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rafael Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes CDA Burgães got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Júdice. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Reis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Dias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Brito went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Joaquim Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Jorge Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Jorge Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Rafael Brito put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquim Dias. If Luís Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Paixão hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in CDA Burgães's zone, Rafael Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Dias came out of the goal and Rafael Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joaquim Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Coelho struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alexandre Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CDA Burgães. Luís Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. SC Zorro's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
