Mirateca FC's Antero Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Cerqueira in the 39th minute of play. Antero Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Caneira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rdth minute of the game Afonso Cerqueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mirateca FC's Antero Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antero Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Caneira in the 45th minute of play. Rubim Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nivaldo Antunes was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Caneira in the 58th minute of play forced Mirateca FC's goalkeeper Antero Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Mortagua's Isac Patrício got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Renato Vasques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Castro skillfully saved the ball. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Afonso Cerqueira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With his leg Antero Vieira managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when SC Mortagua's Afonso Cerqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evandro Caneira in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antero Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Evandro Caneira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Cerqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antero Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Caneira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Óscar Jordão hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Afonso Cerqueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Antero Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 92nd minute of the match Frederico Arruda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SC Mortagua were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mirateca FC to leave the ground with a draw.
