Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Freitas got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, SC Tabuas's goalkeeper Afonso Leiria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Festas. 8 minutes into the match, Samaioes's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Freitas came free, but Josué Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Manuel Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SC Tabuas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Freitas couldn't finish the play. Ademar Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Leiria having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cláudio Porto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Afonso Leiria. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, SC Tabuas's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Nunes came free, but Afonso Leiria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Samaioes getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vicente Teixeira hit a great ball. If Diogo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Vicente Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samaioes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Tabuas the free kick. SC Tabuas's Diogo Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Cortez having to make a save. Luís Viegas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Cortez having to make a save. In the 44th minute Manuel Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samaioes's Josué Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Cabral in the 45th minute of play. Manuel Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademar Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Josué Cortez made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Diogo Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Josué Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Porto in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Samaioes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Ventura to maneuver through the defense. Samaioes's Josué Cortez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Samaioes from getting a goal against them. Josué Cortez made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Diogo Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Josué Cortez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Diogo Cabral took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Cortez. Josué Cortez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Afonso Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Nunes in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Nunes in the 95th minute of play forced SC Tabuas's goalkeeper Afonso Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Ademar Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Tabuas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
