Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Bruno Leite started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jorge Lisboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaf Hammarberg in the 6th minute of the match. In the 14th play minute Bruno Leite came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised André Barros. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SL Benfica's zone, Bruno Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Barros came out of the goal and Bruno Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes SL Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Hammarberg. Bruno Leite had several of the SL Benfica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 24 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed André Barros as he didn't even see the shot coming. David Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Lisboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Gustaf Hammarberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Lisboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 31 minutes, Rodrigo Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MC Team and the SL Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SL Benfica booed when MC Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Gilbert Askberg notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of MC Team's Jorge Lisboa. Jorge Lisboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilbert Askberg made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, one of MC Team:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jorge Lisboa made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when David Paiva sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Jorge Morais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Barros was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Jorge Lisboa was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Gustaf Hammarberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustaf Hammarberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. SL Benfica's André Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Morais in the 76th minute of play. Jorge Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. André Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Paiva in the 81st minute of play forced MC Team's goalkeeper Jorge Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Morais's late challenge caught a SL Benfica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Morais helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, MC Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Morais to maneuver through the defense. MC Team's Jorge Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save MC Team from getting a goal against them. Jorge Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Askberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over SL Benfica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MC Team throughout the match.
