Bruno Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pinheiro having to interfere. Bruno Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Daniel Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C. Amares's Daniel Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Amares from getting a goal against them. After 18 played minutes F.C. Amares got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Peixoto. Samuel Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bruno Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Portugal in the 29th minute of play. If Samuel Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard, long distance shot from Martinho Valério flew over the goal. David Portugal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jorge Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of MC Team booed when F.C. Amares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Benevides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Bruno Leite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jorge Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Lisboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zacarias Correia in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Alexandre Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. MC Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, MC Team's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Dantas came free, but Jorge Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Dantas in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of MC Team booed when F.C. Amares's David Portugal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Lisboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Jorge Morais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Pinheiro was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Jorge Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinho Valério in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Zacarias Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Amares's zone, Jorge Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Pinheiro came out of the goal and Jorge Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Bruno Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruno Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Daniel Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MC Team lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
