The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Trigaches getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Dário Rebelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Velasques having to interfere. Leandro Laureano charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Laureano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leandro Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dário Rebelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isac Velasques was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 29 minutes of play, Trigaches's Dário Rebelo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isac Velasques was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 32 minutes, Alberto Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trigaches and the SC Coast players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Alberto Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Catarino Souto fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trigaches's protests and gave Catarino Souto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Coast booed when Trigaches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belchior Pacheco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Hermenegildo Graça skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dário Rebelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Isac Velasques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Souto was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 46 played minutes Trigaches got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Souto. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Vaz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermenegildo Graça saved Trigaches from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Meira to make the kick off. Trigaches's Hermenegildo Graça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Vaz in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Coast's Leandro Laureano got a free kick in the 55th minute. Belchior Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermenegildo Graça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The supporters of SC Coast booed when Trigaches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Rebelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Romão Brito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermenegildo Graça showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alberto Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isac Velasques was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Meira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. Trigaches's Ramiro Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Trigaches left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Coast.
