When António Machado came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Telhaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Machado couldn't finish the play. Dragon Football Club's Claudemiro Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Marques in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Dragon Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when José Marques came free, but Claudemiro Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If José Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudemiro Dantas having to interfere. António Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amílcar Mota hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Dragon Football Club's Amílcar Mota tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gentil Diegues made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gentil Diegues during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Dragon Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gentil Diegues to maneuver through the defense. Amílcar Mota hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Miguel Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gentil Diegues, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Rui Froiss short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Miguel Pacheco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If António Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudemiro Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from António Machado went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Claudemiro Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Marques in the 87th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dragon Football Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Telhaes.
