Sporting do Barreiro's Eusébio Colaço played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Barros in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Sporting do Barreiro booed when Arufe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Sporting do Barreiro got a freekick which was hit by Tarcísio Lameiras. Daniel Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Colaço having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting do Barreiro's zone, Joaquim Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Colaço came out of the goal and Joaquim Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Barros took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusébio Colaço. Eusébio Colaço dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Daniel Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lúcio Gaspar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolau Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 81 minute of play. Daniel Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arufe FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
