Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fábio Sá in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerónimo Palhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xavier Carneiro came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Troviscais's Lisandro Meireles. But to his dismay, Lisandro Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Júlio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Fábio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Lisandro Meireles took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavier Carneiro. Xavier Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Fábio Sá reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerónimo Palhares. The goal made the score 1-2. When Alberto Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vais's protests and gave Alberto Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fábio Sá was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivo Portugal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xavier Carneiro. That made the score 1-3 in the 52 minute of play. Fábio Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lisandro Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Portugal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Xavier Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerónimo Palhares having to interfere. Vais's Xavier Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Vais from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Xavier Carneiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 90th minute, Lisandro Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lisandro Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fábio Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Troviscais players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
