It was a penalty for Bagunte FC! A collision led to Bagunte FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Afonso Lopes hit a great ball. Eli Svanhill took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juvenal Fonseca. Bagunte FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Azevedo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Fonseca saved Bagunte FC from getting behind. In the 48th minute, Sandro Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandro Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Domingos Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Guimarães's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Azevedo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Juvenal Fonseca 55 minutes into the match. Viriato Torcato kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sandro Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Fonseca was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When Domingos Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SC Guimarães fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Bessa couldn't finish the play. Sandro Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Juvenal Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Guimarães. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Gabriel Azevedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sandro Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Juvenal Fonseca managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when SC Guimarães's Sandro Azevedo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Augusto Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Juvenal Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Azevedo in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SC Guimarães made a substitution. Kjell Palm replaced Eli Svanhill. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sandro Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Guimarães's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lucas Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Azevedo in the 87th minute of the match. Sandro Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th play minute Augusto Paiva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Juvenal Fonseca. 0-5. With a little luck, Bagunte FC's Juvenal Fonseca got control of the ball when Sandro Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Bagunte FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Guimarães were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
