Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aparício Pedroso got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, João Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Mourinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. João Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Corticada's Nelsinho Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laureano Mourinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Laureano Mourinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Amaral in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Sarmento in the 23rd minute of play forced Gravanco's goalkeeper Laureano Mourinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nelsinho Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corticada's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelsinho Sarmento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Mourinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Gravanco's Joel Carreira got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute Miguel Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Mourinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, João Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelsinho Sarmento took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laureano Mourinho. Laureano Mourinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 37 minutes into the game, Corticada's João Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laureano Mourinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Geraldo Portela's late challenge caught a Corticada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geraldo Portela helped the player get up and apologised. Geraldo Portela kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Gravanco's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Sarmento came free, but Laureano Mourinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Corticada were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelsinho Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nelsinho Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Corticada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Sarmento couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, João Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Laureano Mourinho, passed just outside the right post. João Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laureano Mourinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Sarmento in the 67th minute of play forced Gravanco's goalkeeper Laureano Mourinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aparício Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Corticada got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Assis. Sérgio Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aparício Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd match minute, Gravanco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Telinhos to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Nelsinho Sarmento in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 85 minutes into the game, Nelsinho Sarmento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laureano Mourinho. Nelsinho Sarmento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After a defensive mix-up in Gravanco's zone, João Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Mourinho came out of the goal and João Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Gravanco's Laureano Mourinho got control of the ball when Nelsinho Sarmento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laureano Mourinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Sarmento in the 98th minute of the match. Corticada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
