The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Leal in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Artur Freitas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Nascimento, passed just outside the right post. Paulo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sernelha's Miguel Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Sernelha from getting a goal against them. Sernelha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Artur Freitas scored to the left of an out of position Miguel Nascimento, making the score, 1-0. When Eusébio Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the BAR ATLANTIS CASTRO MARIM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Barbosa couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Paulo Leal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Miguel Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Artur Freitas sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Paulo Leal made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Nascimento. Sernelha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Tomás Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sernelha's Miguel Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Simões in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, BAR ATLANTIS CASTRO MARIM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Leal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Eusébio Simões got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 56th match minute, Sernelha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Guarda to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Freitas in the 58th minute of play forced Sernelha's goalkeeper Miguel Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sernelha getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ricardo Guarda hit a great ball. Sernelha made a substitution. Rodrigo Setúbal replaced Ricardo Guarda. After a rather tough play, Sernelha's Rodrigo Setúbal got a free kick in the 65th minute. Joaquim Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Miguel Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Freitas in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Nascimento saved Sernelha from getting behind. Miguel Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Sernelha's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Leal came free, but Miguel Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Eusébio Barbosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BAR ATLANTIS CASTRO MARIM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Rodrigo Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Paulo Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Artur Freitas put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Miguel Nascimento.
