When Xavier Maia came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Carvalhinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Maia couldn't finish the play. Nuno Freire hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Moniz in the 22nd minute of play forced Guerres FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Miguéis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Moniz struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Eliseu Miguéis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carvalhinho. Eliseu Miguéis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Moniz in the 26th minute of the match. Xavier Maia scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Miguéis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carvalhinho's Xavier Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guerres FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carvalhinho the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guerres FC's Nuno Freire got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Guerres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Moniz came free, but Eliseu Miguéis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuno Freire to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guerres FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Miguéis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Moniz in the 55th minute of play forced Guerres FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Miguéis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carvalhinho's João Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Freire in the 70th minute of play. Lúcio Moniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lúcio Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th play minute Xavier Maia came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eliseu Miguéis. 0-4. Eliseu Miguéis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Moniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Xavier Maia in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eliseu Miguéis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lúcio Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Miguéis having to interfere. Guerres FC's Eliseu Miguéis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Moniz in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Maia got free with Eliseu Miguéis in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Xavier Maia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Guerres FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carvalhinho were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
