The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fábio Torres's late challenge caught a Cidadelhe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Torres helped the player get up and apologised. Cidadelhe's Adérito Prates got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Jaime Lamego left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cidadelhe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Bispo FC's Alfredo Lopes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matias Leme. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. David Beti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Matias Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Lamego in the 16th minute of the match. David Beti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Bispo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Carvalho came free, but Marco Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If David Beti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Beti in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Leme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 35 minutes, Rui Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bispo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonçalo Alves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matias Leme. Cidadelhe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matias Leme was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and David Beti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Beti really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. The supporters of Bispo FC booed when Cidadelhe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Beti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Matias Leme skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Lamego to make the kick off. Matias Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Alfredo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Leme having to interfere. If Jaime Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes, Sandro Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bispo FC and the Cidadelhe players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Beti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Leme having to make a save. After 74 played minutes Bispo FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Lopes. The audience was convinced that Jaime Lamego's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Pedroso was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Cidadelhe's goal looked a bit too open when David Beti came free, but Matias Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cidadelhe's zone, Rui Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Leme came out of the goal and Rui Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bispo FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Bispo FC's David Beti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matias Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Gurutz in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Cidadelhe's Gusmão Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Pedroso. Marco Pedroso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Bispo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
