With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Severo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Liberato saved Montim from getting behind. Yuri Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário Liberato having to make a save. Mário Liberato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Neto in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Neto in the 23rd minute of play forced Montim's goalkeeper Mário Liberato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Yuri Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when António Neto sped through Montim's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mário Liberato. António Gois's late challenge caught a Montim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Gois helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, WTM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Gois to maneuver through the defense. Lourenço Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Candal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri Severo scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mário Liberato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 46 played minutes Montim got a freekick which was hit by Luís Candal. Yuri Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Leal Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Liberato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Severo in the 54th minute. Jorge Lobato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The WTM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lourenço Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute of the match, Yuri Severo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mário Liberato was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mário Liberato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Montim's goal looked a bit too open when António Neto came free, but Mário Liberato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, WTM's António Neto got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94thth minute of the game António Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montim's Mário Liberato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. WTM had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
