Spectators: 6649 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Trofa getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Artur Salgueiro hit a great ball. António Carvalhal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Quaresma having to interfere. Norberto Quaresma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Macieira in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Honorato Macieira put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Norberto Quaresma. 0-2 became the score in the 18th minute when Honorato Macieira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Trofa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliano Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, António Carvalhal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Fridao's supporters rose to their feet, but António Carvalhal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herberto Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesualdo Lobo having to make a save. After a rather tough play, SC Fridao's Dércio Sousa got a free kick in the 34th minute. António Carvalhal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesualdo Lobo came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Trofa's Herberto Porto. But to his dismay, Herberto Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herberto Porto was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, António Carvalhal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fridao and the Trofa players grew even worse after the yellow card. António Carvalhal kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Paulino Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jesualdo Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Regalado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jesualdo Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermes Fraga in the 64th minute of play. After 66 played minutes, SC Fridao's José Aveiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norberto Quaresma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Fridao reached it. SC Fridao's Jesualdo Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Silva in the 67th minute of play. Norberto Quaresma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Silva struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jesualdo Lobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trofa. After 71 played minutes SC Fridao got a freekick which was hit by Dércio Sousa. Paulino Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesualdo Lobo having to interfere. SC Fridao's Jesualdo Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Porto in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Fridao's goalkeeper Jesualdo Lobo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Seixas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Norberto Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermes Fraga charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermes Fraga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermes Fraga kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. António Carvalhal might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Quaresma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Carvalhal ran back to his position shaking his head. Trofa's Norberto Quaresma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Trofa from getting a goal against them. A collision led to SC Fridao getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Honorato Macieira hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
