Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Honorato Macieira took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Miranda in the 3rd minute of play forced SC Fridao's goalkeeper Jesualdo Lobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves António Carvalhal could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Félix Végh however easily saved by the left post. Jorge Oliveira took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesualdo Lobo. Jesualdo Lobo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. SC Fridao's Jesualdo Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Oliveira in the 15th minute of play. If Jorge Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Chaves Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Macieira came free, but Félix Végh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dércio Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Félix Végh made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Fridao's Honorato Macieira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Félix Végh. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Reginaldo Antas made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chaves Futebol Clube's Paulo Tavares. After 37 minutes of play, Chaves Futebol Clube's Jorge Oliveira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jesualdo Lobo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Félix Végh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute of the match, António Carvalhal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Félix Végh was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Félix Végh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Macieira in the 46th minute of play. Jorge Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Chaves Futebol Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 54 minutes, Rodrigo Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaves Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chaves Futebol Clube's Félix Végh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Macieira in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th of the match, Rodrigo Miranda tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jesualdo Lobo got in the way and made a wonderful save. 63 minutes into the game, Honorato Macieira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Félix Végh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jesualdo Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Miranda in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute Rodrigo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesualdo Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Fryderyk Bochynski put in a rough tackle. After 81 played minutes Chaves Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Fryderyk Bochynski. In the 82nd minute, Hélder Lameiras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes Chaves Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Tavares. In the 87th minute of the match Hélder Lameiras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Félix Végh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of SC Fridao booed when Chaves Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Félix Végh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Macieira in the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Miranda in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesualdo Lobo saved SC Fridao from getting behind. In the 96th minute Santiago Seixas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Félix Végh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SC Fridao supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chaves Futebol Clube's performance. The match ended with a win for Chaves Futebol Clube.
