In the 22nd minute Manuel Menezes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amável Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes in the game, Francisco Zarco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Veríssimo Bacelar having to interfere. Francisco Zarco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Veríssimo Bacelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Lázaro Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Menezes in the 38th minute of play forced Cacem FC's goalkeeper Amável Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amável Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Menezes in the 40th minute of play. Veríssimo Bacelar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francisco Zarco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Zarco to strike the kick off in the second half. When André Barros fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacem FC's protests and gave André Barros a yellow card for diving instead. André Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marco Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amável Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Francisco Zarco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Zarco took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veríssimo Bacelar. Veríssimo Bacelar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Benedito Avelar hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Manuel Menezes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SC Bertiandos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Menezes couldn't finish the play. Lázaro Matias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Veríssimo Bacelar having to make a save. Veríssimo Bacelar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adérito Palma in the 83rd minute of play. 3-1 became the score in the 89th minute when Francisco Zarco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 99 minutes, André Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Bertiandos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cacem FC.
