In the 2nd minute, Nuno Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Higino Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julião Fraga in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Bento Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higino Lima. CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bento Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nuno Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino Lima having to interfere. CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's goalkeeper couldn't reach when António Pinheiro 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 24 minutes into the game, one of CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cortinhas a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rui Pedroso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's Higino Lima. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Bento Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cortinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higino Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Higino Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Freitas came free, but Higino Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54th play minutes António Pinheiro shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Higino Lima and just under the crossbar into goal. Bento Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Higino Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Leitão's late challenge caught a Cortinhas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Leitão helped the player get up and apologised. Afonso Leitão hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A collision led to CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780 getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. André Campelo hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Pedroso came free, but Higino Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higino Lima came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Cortinhas's Carlos Pinto. But to his dismay, Carlos Pinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After a rather tough play, CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's Damião Alcântara got a free kick in the 78th minute. Higino Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of António Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. If António Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Pinheiro in the 95th minute of play forced CLUBE DESPORTIVO 1780's goalkeeper Higino Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cortinhas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
