If Gonçalo Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. 魏剑挺 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 魏剑挺 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Dias in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Paulo Resende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Caneca e Roxo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvorninha the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sport Caneca e Roxo's Paulo Resende got a free kick in the 24th minute. Afonso Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Fábio Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 魏剑挺 having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Pinho got free with 魏剑挺 in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Pinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, 魏剑挺 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alvorninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 魏剑挺 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Resende was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Afonso Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 魏剑挺 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Pinho struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. 魏剑挺 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvorninha. The Sport Caneca e Roxo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 魏剑挺 should have stopped the shot. Sport Caneca e Roxo's 魏剑挺 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Campos in the 88th minute of play. Jorge Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Alvorninha got a freekick which was hit by João Lopes. Afonso Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. 魏剑挺 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 魏剑挺 came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Alvorninha's Jorge Pinho. But to his dismay, Jorge Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. There was no doubt that Alvorninha were the better team. Alvorninha's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
