After a defensive mix-up in Amieira's zone, Albertino Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Leiria came out of the goal and Albertino Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heitor Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leal Maltez took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristóvão Teixeira. Cristóvão Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Fraguas booed when Amieira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Danilo Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Amieira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fraguas the free kick. In the 21st minute, one of Amieira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Amieira. Cristóvão Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Emílio Leiria sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, Fraguas's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Aveiro came free, but Cristóvão Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertino Abreu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Leiria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Albertino Abreu sped through Amieira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabrício Leiria. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Heitor Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Alves during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 72 minutes into the match, Albertino Abreu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabrício Leiria, 1-3. Bernardo Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Leiria having to interfere.
