The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Breckenfeld got free with Afonso Cunha in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 77 minutes, Amauri Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Serroa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amauri Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Eusébio Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Paiva in the 86th minute of play forced Guine's goalkeeper Afonso Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Paiva in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92ndth minute of the game Válbson Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guine's Afonso Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusébio Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Andrade in the 94th minute.
