Renato Calheiros struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Duarte Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sintra Futebol Clube. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Matias in the 5th minute of play forced Sintra Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Daniel Salvado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Matias in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Salvado saved Sintra Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 8th minute, André Moutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Sintra Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Matias came free, but Daniel Salvado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Matias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Salvado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Gonçalo Nascimento hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. André Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Salvado having to make a save. In the 25th match minute, Calhariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Pires to maneuver through the defense. Gonçalo Matias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Salvado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Daniel Salvado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Matias in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Calhariz FC's André Moutinho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Salvado was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gonçalo Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sintra Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Patrício Espinosa hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimiro Avelar was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Moutinho in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Salvado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Moutinho struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sintra Futebol Clube's zone, Gonçalo Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Salvado came out of the goal and Gonçalo Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 66 played minutes Sintra Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Patrício Espinosa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abílio Ribas got free with Duarte Dias in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Sintra Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Matias came free, but Daniel Salvado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calhariz FC's Gonçalo Matias got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Salvado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Daniel Salvado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calhariz FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
