Spectators: 7170 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 5) SLBenfica's Afonso Vaz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Óscar Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerónimo Lencastre in the 8th minute of the match. SLBenfica's Óscar Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerónimo Lencastre in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Mateus Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Gueifão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Fernando Borges blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Teixeira having to make a save. If Afonso Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Rodrigo Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Teixeira came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by SLBenfica's Hugo Pedroso. But to his dismay, Hugo Pedroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Leme in the 44th minute of play forced SLBenfica's goalkeeper Óscar Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Jerónimo Lencastre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adolfo Monteiro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateus Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Monteiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to SLBenfica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Adolfo Monteiro hit a great ball. Óscar Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Leme in the 56th minute of the match. Horácio Borges came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Óscar Gueifão could save by the left post. Óscar Gueifão made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Horácio Borges sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, SLBenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Jerónimo Lencastre came free, but Óscar Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horácio Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Óscar Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Afonso Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Teixeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Vaz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Hugo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Teixeira having to interfere. 81 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Lencastre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unidos de Arcena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SLBenfica the free kick. Jerónimo Lencastre kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Afonso Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Afonso Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SLBenfica players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
