When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jaime Pegado sped through Reborica FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Marques. A collision led to Valentina FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Laurentino Moura hit a great ball. Micael Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juliano Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Marques having to interfere. In the 20th minute Januário Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micael Trigueiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Reborica FC's zone, Jaime Pegado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Marques came out of the goal and Jaime Pegado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pegado, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Filinto Balsemão came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Valentina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filinto Balsemão couldn't finish the play. After 29 minutes of play, Valentina FC's Filinto Balsemão made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Marques was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Reborica FC's zone, Jaime Pegado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Marques came out of the goal and Jaime Pegado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filinto Balsemão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Fernando Marques made a huge save. Fernando Marques was a little too slow when Jaime Pegado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pegado in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Marques saved Reborica FC from getting behind. Fernando Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pegado, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a rather tough play, Reborica FC's Emílio Raminhos got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pegado to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivo Bandeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reborica FC's goalkeeper Fernando Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juliano Maciel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Fernando Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pegado in the 62nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Jaime Pegado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fernando Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Reborica FC's Dimas Viveiros got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Reborica FC defense, Jaime Pegado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Marques. The Reborica FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Marques should have stopped the shot. Valentina FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Reborica FC for a fine match.
