Elias Rangel came out of the goal and Rubim Moita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Jesus in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Ivan Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ivan Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Rangel was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Ivan Jesus made a precise shot to the right of Elias Rangel. Melides's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the Melides defense, Rubim Moita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Rangel. The Melides fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Rangel should have stopped the shot. Melides's Elias Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Jesus in the 25th minute of play. Elias Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Jesus in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Melides's Pedro Lessa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurentino Guarda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ivan Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Enfermaria's Ivan Jesus got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Rubim Moita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ivan Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Enfermaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Rangel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubim Moita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Rangel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Jesus in the 44th minute of play forced Melides's goalkeeper Elias Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubim Moita struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Elias Rangel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Enfermaria.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Jesus was the one to do the kick off. Ivan Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubim Moita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Elias Rangel made a huge save. Cristiano Queiroga's late challenge caught a SC Enfermaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Queiroga helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Melides's Cristiano Queiroga got a free kick in the 63rd minute. SC Enfermaria were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Melides's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonel Teixeira took the corner. When Rubim Moita came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the SC Enfermaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubim Moita couldn't finish the play. Elias Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Jesus in the 74th minute of the match. Rubim Moita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Rangel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Enfermaria's Ivan Jesus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Rangel. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. If Ivan Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Rangel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Jesus's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Melides fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Enfermaria were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
