AMOR DE MULHER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Vilela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With an all-out effort, AMOR DE MULHER's Éder Brites threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mürsel Acem, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in União de São Roque's zone, Alex Szentesi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Éder Brites came out of the goal and Alex Szentesi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mürsel Acem did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Éder Brites 28 minutes into the match. Éder Brites made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Alex Szentesi sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Mürsel Acem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Éder Brites was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Aldaír Aleixo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Alex Szentesi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mürsel Acem made the kick off in the second half. Alex Szentesi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Éder Brites having to make a save. When Mürsel Acem came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the AMOR DE MULHER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mürsel Acem couldn't finish the play. After 77 played minutes União de São Roque got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Galvão. União de São Roque's Éder Brites played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Szentesi in the 80th minute of play.
