Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sandro Cruz started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Sandro Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almodofa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Sandro Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rogério Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pico's Damião Lobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Cruz in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Almodofa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Lobo having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Sandro Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarbas Damásio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Pico's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sandro Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Lobo having to interfere. Sandro Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Damião Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almodofa FC's Rogério Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandro Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Lobo having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Pico's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Cruz came free, but Damião Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarbas Damásio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sandro Cruz made a precise shot to the right of Damião Lobo. Pico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Almodofa FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jacinto Assunção hit a great ball. André Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Damásio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Damásio in the 60th minute of play forced Almodofa FC's goalkeeper André Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Almodofa FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Adolfo Pedroso hit a great ball. Damião Lobo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Almodofa FC's Sandro Cruz. But to his dismay, Sandro Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. André Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Guimarães in the 81st minute of play. Ricardo Domingues hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Damião Lobo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro Cruz in the 85th minute. Sandro Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Damião Lobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Pico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Pedroso hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Almodofa FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
