The Devils's Vítor Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Barros in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Raul Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordão Sobral, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Mário Festas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elpidio Beremundo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Alexandre Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 34 in the game by Elpidio Beremundo from a close distance when the talented Mário Festas managed to make a qualified save. Barrocas FC's players were relieved. In the 37th minute of the match Gusmão Ribas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vítor Guerreiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Raul Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, The Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Barros came free, but Vítor Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Gil Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrocas FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Devils fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Barrocas FC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diogo Fraga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Devils's Vítor Guerreiro. 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elpidio Beremundo made a kick off. In the 61st minute, Jordão Sobral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Alves in the 87th minute of play forced Barrocas FC's goalkeeper Mário Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, The Devils's Alexandre Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mário Festas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute Jordão Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
