SC Olaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Antoinha the free kick. Reinaldo Trindade hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Lucena in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregório Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 24th minute of the match Ramiro Mourão completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ramiro Mourão a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of SC Antoinha booed when SC Olaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Mourão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Antoinha's zone, Sidónio Prada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílcar Estrada came out of the goal and Sidónio Prada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílcar Estrada came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Olaia's Sidónio Prada. But to his dismay, Sidónio Prada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Josué Lucena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Sidónio Prada made the kick off in the second half. Amado França hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ricardo Igrejas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, SC Olaia's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Almeida came free, but Gregório Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sidónio Prada managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Olaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidónio Prada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílcar Estrada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes SC Olaia got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Nascimento. In the 86th minute Baltasar Barata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Estrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidónio Prada's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Amílcar Estrada firmly grabbed it by the left post. Reinaldo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
