The supporters of Bracaes FC booed when Pousada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nivaldo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Bracaes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Azeredo came free, but Joaquim Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Santiago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Garcia in the 27th minute of play. When Diogo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Bracaes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Maia couldn't finish the play. Joel Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Júlio Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nivaldo Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nivaldo Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Júlio Santiago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Maia in the 41st minute of the match. Diogo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Santiago having to interfere. Júlio Santiago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Bracaes FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Azeredo made a kick off. If Aristides Parente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Joel Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Santiago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Parente struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Joaquim Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pousada FC. Bracaes FC's Joaquim Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Azeredo in the 63rd minute of play. Aristides Parente took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Borges. Joaquim Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Joel Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Júlio Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Santiago didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Pousada FC's zone, Rui Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Santiago came out of the goal and Rui Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bracaes FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
